Life-size LEGO McLaren Senna MP4/4 racing into Leicester Square store
Racing fans can check out a life-size LEGO McLaren Senna MP4/4 in person when the huge build arrives at the LEGO Store Leicester Square later this month.
The LEGO Group and racing legends McLaren recently teamed up to create a 1:1 scale version of a truly iconic car. The life-size LEGO McLaren MP4/4 is based on the real vehicle and 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna, which was launched earlier this year.
Both the LEGO Icons set and the life-size build are part of a year-long celebration of the legendary racing driver’s 30-year legacy in 2024. While the former comes in at 693 pieces, the latter is comprised of over 400,000 elements and took a team of builders more than 700 combined hours to assemble.
Described as a feat of “teamwork and ingenuity,” the life-size LEGO McLaren MP4/4 has already appeared at a number of recent racing events, including the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The massive model is headed to London next, where fans can check out the impressive build at the LEGO Store Leicester Square in person.
Visitors to the location on July 26 and July 27 can take a close-up look at the life-size LEGO McLaren MP4/4 and the attention-to-detail that appears in the build. The model features various sponsor logos, small wing mirrors, chunky tyres, a cockpit with steering wheel, iconic rear spoiler and more.
There’s no word yet on where the life-size LEGO McLaren MP4/4 will be moving onto next or if the build will be making an appearance at any other LEGO Stores in the near future.
You can pick up 10330 McLaren MP4/4 & Ayrton Senna right now, with the LEGO Icons set still available to purchase online and in stores for £69.99 / €79.99 / $79.99.
