Retiring LEGO Star Wars sets One of the most iconic LEGO themes isn’t immune to the passage of time, unfortunately. At the end of 2024, the sets currently scheduled to retire include the massive 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina and its many exclusive minifigures.

Retiring LEGO Gabby’s Dollhouse sets Another new theme is now available with DreamWorks’ series Gabby’s Dollhouse getting four LEGO sets. Retiring LEGO Minecraft sets Minecraft shows no sign of stopping at the moment but LEGO Minecraft isn’t quite as immune to the passage of time. Many of its sets are retiring in 2024.
At the time of writing, this includes the brand-new 21253 The Animal Sanctuary and 21257 The Devourer Showdown . The latter is the only LEGO set currently based on Minecraft Legends.

What happens when a LEGO set retires?
When a LEGO set retires, it is no longer produced in factories and sold through regular retail channels, making it much harder to find and purchase. In some instances, there is enough stock of a retired LEGO set that it will continue to be sold for a short period, but this is rare.
How long do I have to buy a LEGO set?
Look through the tables on this page and we’ll let you know when every specific LEGO set is scheduled to retire. Note that these dates are subject to change and they frequently do.
Will all LEGO sets retire?
Eventually, every LEGO set produced by the LEGO Group will retire to make way for new models, though some can last far longer than others.
Can I still buy LEGO sets after they retire?
Occasionally, enough stock remains of a retired LEGO set that it will continue to be sold officially. However, this is rare. Otherwise, your best bet is to look to other retailers or the secondary market, where prices may be higher.
When do LEGO retirement dates change?
There is no pattern to when retirement dates change, but they frequently do and changes can even revert soon after they were made. We’ll keep you updated on when every specific LEGO set is scheduled to retire and update the list appropriately.
