Only one LEGO GWP remains available in the UK
Although only one LEGO GWP is still available in the UK, another could be on its way to replace it very soon, if the latest rumours are to be believed.
For those who like to time their LEGO purchases to maximise the bang for their buck, you might have just missed out on 40688 Trophy Award, with it selling out in the UK after just two days. It’s still available on purchases over $65 / €65 from LEGO City, Classic, Friends, NINJAGO, and DREAMZzz in some European countries and the US.
LEGO Insiders in the UK can still earn themselves 40690 Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books on all orders £135 / $150 / €150 but the offer ends today, so now is the time to snap one up while you still can.
However, there are also rumours circulating via Instagram user itavixbrix (via brick_clicker) that yet another GWP could be on its way later this week, with 40689 Firework Celebrations rumoured to come with any LEGO purchases over £70 / $80 between June 28 and July 7. If the rumours prove to be true, that would mean there won’t be any overlap with 40690 Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books, so if you’re only planning on one LEGO purchase, you’ll need to pick your favourite.
While 40690 Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books does come with a higher price threshold, we already know what 40689 Firework Celebrations looks like thanks to an official LEGO listing, highlighting that the former is a more detailed build. When we got our hands on 40690 Tribute to Jules Verne’s Books in our in-depth review, we ranked it one of the best GWPs of 2024. If you agree judging from the pictures, perhaps today is the day to pull the plug on a LEGO purchase you’ve been mulling.
Some recent releases that would instantly qualify you include LEGO Star Wars 75382 TIE Interceptor, LEGO Harry Potter 76435 Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall, or LEGO Icons 10341 NASA Artemis Space Launch System, as well as a host of long-standing LEGO sets you might have on your wishlist.
