More details on rumoured LEGO Creator 3-in-1 August gift-with-purchase
More details have surfaced on a rumoured LEGO Creator 3-in-1 gift-with-purchase said to be coming to LEGO Stores in August.
The first word on 40691 Mythical Pegasus dropped in June, suggesting the set will have 278 pieces and will be available with qualifying purchases in August 2024. Instagram user fateful_lego has now shared more details on what to expect from this Creator 3-in-1 gift-with-purchase, which will apparently resemble 2023’s 31140 Magical Unicorn.
In fact, fateful_lego claims 40691 Mythical Pegasus’s primary model will be built ‘in the same way’ as the earlier set’s unicorn, only without a horn and with wings. It’s said to incorporate white, blue, purple and light blue colours, and sits atop a brown column so you can display it with ease. The alternate builds for the 3-in-1 set are thought to consist of a mythical bird and a dragon.
That all sounds pretty substantial for a gift-with-purchase, and its 278 pieces is actually nearly double the number included in 31140 Magical Unicorn. But it wouldn’t be the first Creator 3-in-1 free gift at this size: 40562 Mystic Witch includes 257 pieces, for example, and was free with orders above £100 / $100 / €100 in October 2022.
No details have been revealed yet regarding specific availability of 40691 Mythical Pegasus, so we’ll have to play the waiting game to find out the exact dates you’ll be able to pick it up – and how much you’ll have to spend to acquire it. That’s all assuming this rumour pans out as expected, of course.
For now, head over to LEGO.com to snap up one or both of this year’s LEGO Insiders Days gifts-with-purchase. 40692 Candy Store is free with all orders above £180 / $200 / €200, while you can also score a summer beach bag with LEGO NINJAGO, City, DREAMZzz, Friends, Animal Crossing, Harry Potter, Super Mario or DUPLO purchases above £75 / $80 / €80.

- I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
