LEGO NINJAGO’s biggest mech may not wear the crown for long

LEGO NINJAGO’s biggest mech ever has only just launched but rumours for next year suggest that another model is coming for the crown already.

71821 Cole’s Titan Dragon Mech has been officially crowned the biggest LEGO NINJAGO mech of all time – measured by height – and it’s available now and at a discount too. Since its release, rumours of LEGO NINJAGO sets launching in January 2025 have surfaced and as you might expect, they include a mech.

Instagram user fateful_lego has shared a list of 11 rumoured LEGO NINJAGO sets, including a village, a dragon a jet and a mech. Of particular interest for this report is the rumoured 71834 Zane’s Ultra Combo Mech. Take all rumoured information with caution until official details are confirmed.

The biggest LEGO NINJAGO mech by piece count is 71765 Ninja Ultra Combo Mech at 1,104 pieces but it stands at 31cm tall. For comparison, 71821 Cole’s Titan Dragon Mech only has 1,055 elements but it measures 39cm tall to the tips of the shoulders.

The rumoured 71834 Zane’s Ultra Combo Mech is said to feature 1,187 pieces for $99.99 and it’s entirely possible that it could take the title of biggest LEGO NINJAGO mech by height from 71821 Cole’s Titan Dragon Mech. At the very least, rumours suggest that it’s going to take the crown of biggest LEGO NINJAGO mech by piece count from 71765 Ninja Ultra Combo Mech.

The coincidence that it may be another combo mech is interesting too, though that could also explain why it might not be the tallest LEGO NINJAGO mech and beat 71821 Cole’s Titan Dragon Mech either. Some of its reported piece count may need to go towards the combination feature instead of a taller mech.

While 71821 Cole’s Titan Dragon Mech is at risk of losing its crown early next year, rumours suggest that the title of biggest LEGO NINJAGO dragon – currently held by 71822 Source Dragon of Motion – is safe, for now. The only dragon rumoured for 2025 currently is 71829 Lloyd’s Forest Dragon at 128 pieces, much fewer than 71822 Source Dragon of Motion‘s 1,716 elements.
