Every LEGO Marvel Captain America: Brave New World set rumoured for 2024
As the first trailer for Captain America: Brave New World drops online, here’s a reminder of every LEGO Marvel set hooked to the sequel rumoured for 2024.
Marvel debuted the first teaser for the fourth Captain America movie yesterday, and it’s already racked up more than 10 million views on YouTube. The long-delayed MCU entry sees Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson assume the mantle of Captain America from Steve Rogers, and will pit him against Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross – or Red Hulk – as portrayed by Harrison Ford, who replaces the late William Hurt.
Rumours around tie-in LEGO sets have been swirling for months given the film was originally slated to land in cinemas in May 2024. It’s now locked in for a February 14, 2025 release following multiple delays, and the accompanying LEGO Marvel sets are said to drop in December this year. Here’s a round-up of all three sets, drawn from sources including Brick Clicker and 1414falconfan.
40668 Captain America BrickHeadz
Price: $19.99 Pieces: 202 Release date: December 2024
Not much is known about this LEGO BrickHeadz double-pack at this stage beyond its rumoured price and piece count, but there are some obvious candidates for its characters in Captain America and Red Hulk. Indeed, initial rumours suggest that those two are the most likely contenders for 40668, and it would be fun to see a Hulk turn up as a BrickHeadz statuette.
76292 Captain America vs Red Hulk Battle
Price: $54.99 Pieces: 223 Release date: December 2024
The only LEGO Captain America: Brave New World set rumoured to include minifigures, 76292 Captain America vs Red Hulk Battle will apparently feature Sam Wilson, Joaquin Torres (who you might remember from the Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier), Red Hulk and Ruth Bat-Seraph (known in the comics as Israeli superhero Sabra, but retconned in this movie as a former Black Widow and US government official).
It’s also said to include a fighter jet with an opening cockpit, storage compartment and stud shooter, but even with a bigfig Red Hulk in the box, the LEGO Group is going to have a tough time justifying that rumoured price-to-piece ratio.
76296 Captain America Buildable Figure
Price: $34.99 Pieces: 359 Release date: December 2024
Finally, fans of LEGO Marvel’s buildable figures – see 76256 Ant-Man Construction Figure, 76257 Wolverine Construction Figure and so on – will reportedly be able to add Sam Wilson’s suit to their collection with 76296 Captain America Buildable Figure. It would be the second such set hooked to this superhero identity, following 2023’s 76258 Captain America Construction Figure (based on Steve Rogers’ costume).
