The biggest LEGO Star Wars sets of all time – September 2023
The reveal and impending launch of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser has shaken up the list of the biggest LEGO Star Wars sets.
LEGO Star Wars has become an icon of the overall LEGO portfolio as one of the longest-running themes as well as being home to some especially huge sets, especially in recent years. Though there are some similarities, you can click here to see which LEGO sets are the most expensive – but not necessarily the biggest.
Following the recent reveal of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, here’s an updated look at the biggest LEGO Star Wars sets of all time, all coming from the past two decades. With any luck, this should help pass the time before the prequel trilogy Ultimate Collector Series set launches for LEGO Insiders on October 1 for £559.99 / $649.99 / €649.99. Those not signed up for the free program can enjoy the model starting from October 4.
10 – 75059 Sandcrawler
Pieces: 3,296 Price: £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Minifigures: 14 Year: 2014
Even with over 3,000 pieces, 75059 Sandcrawler isn’t to scale with minifigures, but it’s the closest we’ve seen in an official set. This huge model has an exclusive minifigure selection focused on droids as well as Owen Lars as well as an expansive interior and a surprising number of play features.
9 – 10143 Death Star II
Pieces: 3,441 Price: £249.99 / $269.99 / €269.99 Minifigures: 0 Year: 2005
The original display-centric Death Star LEGO set presents the unfinished space station but is no less iconic than its other forms. The detailed cross-sections of the interior lend themselves well to the design of LEGO bricks and this concept was recently revisited in 40591 Death Star II.
8 – 10188 Death Star
Pieces: 3,803 Price: £274.99 / $399.99 / €419.99 Minifigures: 24 Year: 2008
Keeping the original dot-eyed style of minifigure faces, 2008’s 10188 Death Star offers a LEGO Star Wars playset like no other with a variety of recognisable rooms that still manages to maintain the exterior shape of the space station.
7 – 75159 Death Star
Pieces: 4,016 Price: £409.99 / $499.99 / €499.99 Minifigures: 27 Year: 2016
The LEGO Group may not have reinvented the idea of a LEGO Death Star with 75159 Death Star, but the 200-piece update to the 2008 set allowed this model to stay on shelves, though it’s different enough to count as a separate set.
6 – 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer
Pieces: 4,784 Price: £614.99 / $699.99 / €699.99 Minifigures: 2 Year: 2019
Despite similar appearances, 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer isn’t the newer prequel model, but it is comparable in size. The now-retired 2019 build depicts the Empire’s massive starship design ahead of its reappearance in The Rise of Skywalker, complete with a miniature Tantive IV too.
5 – 10179 Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon
Pieces: 5,197 Price: £349.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Minifigures: 5 Year: 2007
Arguably still the most iconic LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set, 10179 Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon has received its own updated design but remains a huge LEGO Star Wars build and one that will likely stay on this list for some time.
4 – 75367 Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser
Pieces: 5,374 Price: £559.99 / $649.99 / €649.99 Minifigures: 2 Year: 2023
Coming in October, 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser offers another prequel trilogy LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set with a pair of exclusive minifigures, one of which happens to time well with the recent Ahsoka series on Disney+. At over 5,000 pieces, 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is one of the biggest LEGO Star Wars models ever designed.
3 – 75331 The Razor Crest
Pieces: 6,187 Price: £519.99 / $599.99 / €599.99 Minifigures: 4 Year: 2022
Taking inspiration from The Mandalorian, 75331 The Razor Crest has everything an Ultimate Collector Series LEGO Star Wars set needs from a detailed interior to exclusive minifigures and recreates the iconic ship in what is likely to be the largest LEGO Razor Crest ever.
2 – 75313 AT-AT
Pieces: 6,785 Price: £734.99 / $849.99 / €849.99 Minifigures: 9 Year: 2021
As huge as dog, yes really, 75313 AT-AT seems to be the closest that we’re going to get to a minifigure-scale LEGO AT-AT with an interior that faithfully matches what we’ve seen in movies, games and more and the necessary functions that help the model pose as good as it looks.
1 – 75192 Millennium Falcon
Pieces: 7,541 Price: £734.99 / $849.99 / €849.99 Minifigures: 8 Year: 2017
LEGO Star Wars enthusiasts will likely know 75192 Millennium Falcon all too well as the huge creation has been on shelves for just shy of six years at the time of writing. Featuring the largest LEGO Millennium Falcon to date and providing a much-needed update to 10179 Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon, 75192 Millennium Falcon is also the biggest LEGO Star Wars set of all time.
